The Constitution of the Board of the Bank is governed by "The Nationalized Banks (Management and Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme, 1970, formulated by the Central Government, after consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of "The Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Ac, t 1970".
Indian Overseas Bank is inviting applications for posts of 1500 Probationary Officers (PO) posts from Successful candidates in IBPS Common PO CWE conducted in Sep 2011.

Probationary Officers (JMG Scale -I)– Total 1500 Posts (Rs. 14500 – 25700/ Month)

Eligibility Criteria :
Only those having passed the IBPS PO CWE conducted in Sep 2011 are eligible to apply.
Age should be between 21-30 yrs as on 01.07.2011 (Relaxation in Age Limit is 5 - SC/ST, 3 - OBC, 10 - PWD(on cumulative Basis)),
Should be a graduate in any Discipline with at least 60% Marks (55% for SC/ST/PWD). A Diploma in Banking & Finance (DBF) from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF) is preferred.
Required Minimum IBPS Score :-
For General/OBC Categories :- Total Weighted Score (TWS) - 120 Marks with Minimum 24 Marks in each section,
For SC/ST/PWD Categories :- Total Weighted Score (TWS) - 105 Marks with Minimum 21 Marks in each section,
Good knowledge of computers is necessary.
Selection Procedure :
Like other banks, Indian Overseas Bank will also call certain number of candidates for Interview that will cross cut-offs set by Bank later on depending on vacancies.
Final Selection list to be made by considering performance in both, IBPS PO CWE and Interview.
Qualifying marks in Interview will be 22.5 for General and 20 for reserved categories (Total marks being 50).
Finally selected candidates will be on probation period for 2 Years with a bond of 3 years amounting Rs. 100000.

Application Procedure :
Fee of Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD and Rs.200 for Others (GEN/OBC) to be paid at any branch of Indian Overseas Bank by This Payment Challan.
After Payment, Application to be made online with Payment and Other required details filled properly. Keep payment challan safe and Take two print outs of application form for future use as these will be used if called for GD/Interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified via Email/SMS and will be able to download Call letters for Interview/GD Phase from bank's website well before starting of Interview process.
